Polish EU Presidency Launched in London at V&A Gala

Poland's presidency of the European Union was formally launched in London on 6th July at glittering reception at the Victoria & Albert Museum. Dignatories from political, economic and cultural life in Poland and the UK, including British Defence Secretary Liam Fox and Polish Finance Minister Jacek Rostowski, turned out to mark this historic occasion. In his speech, Dr Fox praised Poland's great achievements during its transition from Communism, culminating in its six-month term as holder of the EU's rotating presidency.
