Pro Memoria Medal awarded to PHS members
The Polish state medal Pro Memoria established by the Head of the Office for War Veterans and Victims of Oppression and awarded for outstanding achievements in perpetuating the memory of people and actions in the struggle for Polish independence during World War II and after, was officially presented to several members of the Polish Heritage Society and other recepients.
In an award ceremony held on 9 December 2011 at the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in London, the Minister of War Veterans and Victims of Oppression, Dr Jan Stanisław Ciechanowski presented the medal Pro Memoria to; Philip Bujak, Dr Marek Stella-Sawicki, Teresa Stella-Sawicka.
Major General John Drewienkiewicz , Colonel Richard Ciaglinski and Stefan Mucha (in absentia) were also awarded this medal.
